This food holiday is celebrated in the United States on February 7th.
Fettuccine Alfredo is a pasta dish tossed with Parmesan cheese and butter. Alfredo di Lelio, an 20th-century Italian chef, created the dish for his wife somewhere between 1914–1920 at his restaurant in Rome. He later served it to tourists and its popularity spread.
